Win Fifty Huggable Hangers!

A little while back I received a couple of Huggable Hangers to try out. I had seen these on TV, but for some reason, the commercials had not convinced me to pick up the phone. I thought that either they really were as good as they said, and would be too expensive, or they were cheap and wouldn’t last. So I was glad that Home Shopping Network and Joy Mangano (the creator of Huggable Hangers) put a couple in my hands to try, because I might not have tried them otherwise. And that would have been bad, because I love these hangers!

I’ve been using mine for a few weeks now, and here are five reasons why I think they’re way better than any other hanger out there:

  1. They’re really thin. I hate wasting space in my closet, and my clunky plastic hangers take up way too much space for what they have on them.
  2. They’re coated in velvet, which grips whatever you hang on them without having to use clothespins, which leave ugly marks.
  3. They have a very gentle slope in the shoulder, so that even the thinnest, most delicate of fabrics doesn’t get an ugly “hanger hump.”
  4. The hook part of the hanger can be turned, in case you want to hang something on a door or some kind of rack.
  5. You can buy a whole closet full without breaking the bank. HSN is even shipping some of the Huggable Hanger packs for free right now, so you can get them for right around $1 per hangar.

In honor or HSN’s 31st anniversary, Joy Mangano will be on HSN this coming Thursday, July 31st from 9-10pm and 11pm-1am. And to help celebrate, she’s giving away 50 Huggable Hangers (25 adult, 25 child) to a lucky Selfish Mom reader! To enter, all you have to do is leave a comment on this post between now and noon on July 31st. The winner will be chosen at random, but to make it fun, please tell us in your comment what the last thing was that you bought online. Only one entry per person per day please!

Update: Forgot to mention, these can only be sent to U.S. addresses!

The last thing I bought online was for my Dad. Dad has been trying to save gas, and so has been walking to the grocery store, about half a mile away. This is fine, he’s 78 and in good health. Well, he didn’t have any way to get his groceries home, so he was taking his suitcase and packing his groceries home in it. I said, “Dad, everybody is going to think Mom threw you out!”. I found him a wonderful rolling crate, which holds a lot and folds to nothing when he’s not using it. And because I knew my husband was going to think taking a suitcase to bring groceries home in was a wonderful idea, I got him one, too!

I’m constantly getting hanger hump and would love to wear clothing without these unsightly bumps :) The last thing that I bought was magnetic paint. We’re creating a “big boy” room.

I haven’t seen these, but I’m sooo interested. My closet is stuffed way too tight but it doesn’t seem like there are too many clothes in there…

Last thing(s) I bought online (because my buying binges also come in 3s): gorgeous black bag for fall from ideeli (check it if you don’t know it), baby gift from giggle registry and a bunch of big girl underwear for my potty training girl.

If I win new hangers, does it mean I have a reason to buy more clothes? Awesome! ;-)
