Product Giveaway: Blankyclip
Oct 31, 2008 Contest/Giveaway
I can’t tell you how often I’ve seen a product and said to myself, “It’s so simple! It’s so perfect! Why hasn’t this been around forever?” That’s the reaction I had when I found out from a friend about blankyclips. Invented by a mom when her oldest child was a baby and taking all of his naps in a moving stroller, she had an “a-ha!’ moment and the blankyclip was born. Thankfully my kids are past the stroller and blanket stage, but if I ever have another I’ll definitely buy a pair of these.
All of our blankets, even the really nice handmade ones that we got from Grandma and tried to be careful with, ended up dirty around the edges. They’d start out nicely tucked in, but just a little movement from the kids would cause them to fall into the dirt and slush and whatever else was on the sidewalk (I don’t want to think about it too much). These clips would have solved that problem for sure. They clip on to any stroller, baby seat, or swing, and can be used to keep a blanket on a baby, or to cover the stroller completely to keep out the light or wind.
I can’t think of a better gift for a new mom than these clips. It’s one of those things they won’t know they desperately need until they’ve wrecked a few blankets. They come in three styles: Bears (with plush blue blanket), Ducks (with plush ecru blanket), or Sheep (with plush pink blanket) for $48. And Adrienne, the inventor, is going to give a Duck blankyclip/ecru blanket combo to one of my lucky readers! All you have to do to enter is leave a comment, between now and noon eastern on Election Day (GOBama!) saying what special baby/child item you’ve lost or damaged, or how these clips could help you protect the stuff you love.
Any comments received after noon eastern on November 4th will not count! The winner will be chosen at random by random.org. Only continental U.S. mailing addresses are eligible. Only one entry per person per day please. I’ll say that again: you can answer once per day!
UPDATE: Since I posted this contest a day later than I normally do, and since Tuesday is a holiday, I’m extending the contest until noon eastern on Wednesday, November 5th!
Good luck, and thanks so much to Adrienne and blankyclip!

I want them just becuase they are so damn cute!!!!
I am currently always picking up 2 handmade blankets off the wheels of our strollers while trying to keep my almost 5m old warm – they are so cute!
I need these for our jogging stroller. It’s not easy finding something that will keep a blanket attached. Do they come in little piggies, if not please?
These would be great the those afternoon walks. I always have to stop and readjust his blanket. Thanks for the giveaway!
super cute. They would be great for the jogging stroller, and since I’ve got a new one on the way may protect the baby #2, from daughter #1 or devil dog #666. I’ve lost too many toys to keep track.

Heck giving these away..I will save them until I have kids!!
haha- I gave one away on my site last week- but I want one for myself!!!
This would be the perfect gift for a baby shower that I will be attending.
I would love these as I am too scared to take the hand made blankets fom my boys “surrogate” Grandma, after one got caught in the wheels and tore the knitting to shreds :( Competely irreparable…
What a clever idea! We are regulars at our older kids’ soccer games and our infant daughter keeps getting windswept because we have no way of keeping the blanket secure. I have to load her down with a much heavier blanket than she actually needs just to keep it secure and out of the dirt. These would be perfect!
pick me….so cute!
I have one little one and want try for #3 next year. I will be saving these to use again. They are very cute. Thanks!
Those are adorable! They would have been perfect for every walk we took and needed the blanket to protect the baby from the sun. I always used to end up pushing the stroller with one hand and holding the blanket with the other. Not easy!
I have a friend having a baby in a couple weeks, these would be perfect for her!
I’m contemplating getting knocked up so yes, please.
They are soooo cute. Yes, I want them, too.
What a smart idea! I’ve been using those chip clips to keep our blankies in place, but a plushy friend is soooooooooooo much better.
everytime I use a blanket now I think about these clips and how handy they would be :)
What have I NOT lost or dropped on the ground? I’d love to have these to hold up blankets on my jogging stroller — it’s getting colder out and I love taking long walks but I have to keep the baby covered.
I would love these. They so cute and actually keep me from picking up the blanket every 5 minutes. Sounds great count me in. Thanks!

I need these for my blankie…
I actually used clothespins to clip blankies to our stroller. If I was smarter, I would have trademarked the idea and made them as cute as these.
I am always envious of people who can see a need and turn it into an invention!!
What the heck. I don’t enter the kid stuff, since I’m not a Mom, but these would be nice for my friends & their baby.
During my 2nd week home with my newborn, I set a goal for myself to get out of the house and attend a Breastfeeding Support class. I packed up the diapers, wipes, extra outfits, etc., the carseat, and baby for the first time. In my eagerness, I also packed my husband’s childhood blanky. I had no idea the amount of stuff you need to take with you AND keep an eye on in addition to the baby! I ended up leaving the class early, loading the sleeping baby in the carseat, then after a very loud poo, promptly unloading everything and returning to class to change the diapy!! I felt like I spent most the day packing and unpacking. When I somehow made it back home I realized I had left behind and lost the baby blanket! I would love to have these clips. I didn’t know about them at the time, but they would have saved my husband’s blanky!
I really need these for all the walking we do. Not to mention they are very cute. I love the ducky set. Thanks for the giveaway!

Here’s another vote for sweet Cloe Leanne.
Oops, thought it was over Thurs. As you were.
Nope, you’re good! I posted it a day late and it would have ended on election day, so I extended it until noon today!
Wait, are you only going to let me win if I get knocked up by Noon on Wednesday?
OK, no more entries! As soon as I can get to a computer tonight I’ll pick the winner. Thanks to all who entered!
