It only takes reading something like this to make me forget (at least temporarily) about all of the petty problems in my life. What this poor woman’s daughter is going through is just heart-breaking. I have no connection to her, I just found her blog through a listserv I’m on. The name of her blog is “The Domestic Diva” which explains the homophonic wordplay. :-)

It sounds like she may have a lead on a donor. If that one doesn’t work out, then I’m going to submit paperwork for a donor testing kit. Yes, I’m terrified of being a match – the thought of going through a huge surgery when there’s nothing wrong with me really really scares me – but I strongly believe in Karma.
