I have one of these little Ganz Christmas Tree Ornament Switches, you plug the tree lights into it and then hang the ornament on the tree, and touch it to turn the lights on and off.  It’s the best!  No more climbing behind the tree to plug in the lights.

    I have nothing to add. :)

    There are really nice fake trees now, though. You might have missed the post-Christmas window this year. But whenever you get one, the pre-lit-ness of them is the best part, imho. You put it up and plug it in and instantly it looks good, even before you get the ornaments on.

    I know, that’s a huge plus. With my grandmother’s tree, after you got all the branches on (and bandaged up your hands), you still had to string the lights.
