Randomosity: Frivolous Lawsuit Edition

Every frivolous lawsuit should be handled this way. Funny site The Oatmeal had their stuff stolen by another site, and then that other site had the audacity demand $20K for what The Oatmeal said about them. And then things got hilarious.

I make decent stove-top popcorn (when I’m not munching on my favorite dieting crutch, SmartPop 100 calorie bags), but this is an even better method than the one I use – definitely going to try it soon (via LifeHacker).

Happy birthday! Now drop dead. Yup, Gizmoto reports that you’re more likely to have a heart attack or stroke on your birthday. Perhaps you shouldn’t be trying quite so hard to blow out those candles.

Ever had the urge to use chalkboard paint, but didn’t want a big old ugly black box of paint on your pretty wall? It looks like mixing your own chalkboard paint is pretty easy, in any color you want!

It’s really hard to believe, but these are paintings – not photographs. See them all here.

My friend Ilina wrote an amazing blog post about two family photos she took with Jimmy Carter, nine years apart. I had tears in my eyes by the end.

If you’re a Mad Men fan like me, here’s a double-shot for you. The first is a list of 25 things you didn’t know about the show. And while I wouldn’t exactly call them mind blowing as the article itself does, I did find them very interesting. I love behind-the-scenes stuff. Plus, here are some beautiful B&W photos from the production. My favorite? The one with Don Draper using an iPhone. (Thanks to my friend Dara of With Love, From Brooklyn for posting those on facebook.)

And last, this is possibly the best visual use of twitter I’ve ever seen:

What a mess that Oatmeal/FunnyJunk debacle is. I hope that lawyer just goes away and lets The Oatmeal get back to the funny!

And thank you, thank you, thank you for the Mad Men photos. Any day of mine that starts off looking at Don Draper is bound to be a good one.
