Randomosity: Starry Night Edition

I’ve always loved watching dominoes fall, but this video is especially cool for several reasons. One, I just love Van Gogh’s Starry Night. It’s one of the rare pieces of art that doesn’t make me say “blech!” when I see it on an umbrella. Two, I’m fascinated by the method this person is using to place the dominoes. She seems to be holding a ruler on a little copy of Starry Night and placing the dominoes by color. No complicated charts or anything. And she makes it look so easy! Three: she shows her mistakes. Enjoy!

There’s a lot of misinformation out there about health care reform. Before you spread more of it around, take this health care reform quiz and see if you know what you’re talking about. For what it’s worth, I got 9 out of 10 right, but I think one of the questions is worded badly so I’m counting it as a perfect score. :-)

A French athlete acting like an ass is old news. I’m looking at you Zidane:

But this French runner, Mahiedine Mekhissi-Benabbad, seems to have something against mascots. WTF? If this is how this guy celebrates winning a race, I’d hate to see what happens when he loses.

So this one is real. It’s on Slate and everything. Take fifteen seconds right now and check to see if you’re going to lose internet access on Monday.

And last, if you want to see where stupid lives online, check out the twitter feed for Need A Debit Card. Basically, it retweets pictures people have posted of their debit cards. Honestly, I wouldn’t know what to do with that information, but I’m guessing there are a lot of bad people out there who would.

Sure, many of the people realize their idiocy and delete the pictures, but a surprising number do not. I weepfor the future of our country…
