I agree with you. I have suffered a lifetime battle with weight. My grandmother has said that you can be anything in the world but fat. It is pretty much true. People treat you differently because of it. It isn't fair that people who are considered somehow not as good.

The biggest problem is that many are just unhappy and use food as a source of comfort. I know I did. have lost over 100 pounds and still have 30 pounds to go. If I never lose it, I will still be happy. I have gotten rid of the the emotional problem in my life that seemed to contribute mainly to the problem ( divorce will be final soon.). I'm the happiest I have ever been, I had to make that choice to be happy.

I have not been to your website in a while, it is really great! I think that you really help people.

"And two, shaming people into losing weight doesn’t work. Maybe this is something that healthy, non-emotional eaters just don’t get, but for a lot of us, telling us we’re fat sends us to the fridge."

I don't think they do get it, because I've tried to explain it before. You strangely have to feel *good* about yourself in order to lose weight, to make a change. It's not entirely illogical -- like you said, losing weight is hard. You have to feel capable, and powerful, and strong to be able to do it.
