I love public speaking and have spoken at conferences on topics such as sponsored posts and podcasting. I have also been quoted and written about in many places, including the New York Times Magazine, Working Mother,,, and BabyCenter.

WPIX had me on their morning show to talk about why you should never punish your children publicly on Facebook.

Time Out New York Kids named me one of nine mom and dad bloggers to watch in 2015!!

WPIX hosted a panel about how to punish your children appropriately. interviewed me about how I handle my kids’ screen time.

HuffPost Live had me on as a guest, talking about kids who fly alone. (If you just want to see me, I’m at 0:42, 5:24, and 9:36.)

Working Mother named me one of the fifteen most powerful moms in social media. Thank you!! (I’m #14 if you want to skip right to me.)

The New York Times Magazine & Motherlode blogger Lisa Belkin included me in an article about Mom Bloggers. named me the Funniest Mom on Twitter in 2010. WOW. (The link no longer works but The Wayback Machine still has it.) published my piece about Waiting for Superman. My work has also appeared in Redbook Magazine. I talk about my fit, healthy 8-year-old being labeled obese by his school.

The Today Show I talk about spanking. (If you just want to see me go to 1:34 and 2:23.) I get quoted on the NYTimes website again, this time about lying to my children. But most of the commenters ignore the lies and instead focus on the fact that my son wears deodorant. WTF? My NYC Moms Blog post about paying my children not to bicker gets quoted in the NYTimes online (and dissected in the comments). I talk about simple ways to make your child feel special. I talk about avoiding new mom comparison traps. I talk about putting my foot in my mouth at Thanksgiving dinner. I talk about Chris Brown being up for a Nick Kids’ Choice Award. I’m talking about letting kids fly alone (2nd page – I’m the one who thinks it’s fine).
