My sister Cara just sent this to me. Hilarious! I guess my video message was way off base, I guess Palin was able to bridge the gap after all.

If Cheryl Burke is fat, then I want to be fat like her
Oct 9, 2008 What's Going On
Unbelievable. I’m sitting here in my pajamas, having a nice relaxing morning for once. The kids don’t have school, and the only plans we have are a trip to IKEA. Good Morning America is running a story about the criticism Cheryl Burke has been getting because she gained about five pounds since last season’s Dancing with the Stars. That’s right, five pounds. She is a size four. She still fits into the same costumes she wore last season. If you look at before and after pictures, the only difference is really that she has a couple little folds on her back that weren’t there before. She’s gorgeous. She dances for seven hours a day and is incredibly fit. She’s healthy. She says that she had the summer off for the first time ever, and got a little bigger while taking a break. I can relate. I’ve been on that break for about 18 years now.
Bloggers have been especially harsh, saying that she should go on Jenny Craig, wondering if she’s pregnant. A site called Hollywood Headache pondered how the broad with the “fat ass” even got famous, based on looking at pictures of her on vacation, in a bikini. Oddly, I’m not able to asses someone’s dancing ability looking at still pictures of that person in water. But maybe I just don’t have Hollywood Headache’s gift.
Spreadit.org said “I think success has gone to her ass, because it has gotten really big.” Wow. And please note that Spreadit is a .org. Since sites that end in .org are generally non-profits or charitable organizations, can we assume that the money made off of spewing that kind of drivel is going to charity?
Not every site was nasty. Gossip Girls and E-Celeb News had nice things to say. My completely lazy and haphazard search found about half of the sites that ran the bikini pictures over the summer made fun of her body, and half didn’t.
The talk started up again a few weeks ago when Dancing with the Stars started its new season. So kudos (the praise or the chocolate covered granola bar, whichever she prefers) to Cheryl Burke for facing the issue head on and talking about it this morning on GMA. I’m adding her to my list of other stars and celebrities who are daring to question the perfect body Hollywood mentality.
